Short Biography

Lydiane Lutz (* 1981 in Stuttgart) lives and works in Ulm. She studied Art Education (1st and 2nd state examination) at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich with Prof. Fridhelm Klein and Prof. Matthias Wähner and has been working as a freelance artist since 2013. She is a mother of two daughters. Lydiane Lutz has already presented her works in various galleries and off-spaces. In 2024, she founded the artist collective She Floats Collective with artist Sarita Dey, with whom she regularly exhibits her works regionally and nationally.

Her artistic work is characterized by the search for freedom, the ability to let go in trust, and societal relationships. Immersing, floating in water, and resurfacing – the bathing process itself serves Lutz as an allegory for these themes and experiences. The flowing movements captured in acrylic appear powerful yet effortless. She playfully varies between vibrant and soft colors and a change from delicate to impasto brushwork, lending her painting a poetic character.
